SUBSIDY REMOVAL : NLC Threatens To Embark On Nation Wide Protest Next Week

Nigeria Labour Congress has fixed Wednesday June 7 for nationwide protest and withdrawal of service Over fuel price increase.
NLC President, Joe Ajaero at a briefing at the end of its National Executive Council Meeting said it is also illegal to be negotiating with persons with no portfolio, arguing that it portents danger.
The NNPCL had on Wednesday announced new price regime for PMS from 185 to 537 naira.
This action according to the NNPCL follows the the pronouncement by President Bola Tinubu that fuel subsidy regime was over.
Human rights lawyer and legal adviser to the Nigeria Labour Congress, Femi Falana said PMS price hike by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited is illegal and will be challenged in the court of law.
Meanwhile, the federal government is scheduled to reconvene a meeting with Labour unions on Sunday, June 4 amidst, continuous sale of PMS at over five hundred naira.
