Police Arrest Plateau State Indigene For Stabbing To Death A young man Who Caught him Stealing In Enugu

Enugu State Police Command said it has arrested a Private Security Guard from Plateau State, Shuaibu Mohammed, for allegedly stabbing a young man identified as Temple, who had earlier assisted in apprehending and beating him over alleged stealing .
The 35 years old Suspected Murderer was nabbed by Operatives attached to Enugu Metro Area Command, in collaboration with personnel of Emene Neighbourhood Watch Group.
He was arrested on October 3, 2021 at about 11.15 am at Akpuoga-Nike Layout, Emene, Enugu.
Police Preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect, who is a native of Wase LGA of Plateau State, but resides and works as a security man at Obinagu Chinwude New Layout, Emene, had on October 2, 2021, vengefully attacked the victim for allegedly being part of those who caught, beat up, warned and released him for stealing.
Following his arrest, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abubakar Lawal, ordered the Homicide Section of the State CID to ensure timely conclusion of investigation and prosecution of the suspect.
According to the Image Manager of the State Police Command, Mr. Daniel Ndukwe , an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ” the lifeless body of the victim has since been taken to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead by medical doctors on duty and the corpse deposited in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy, pending the conclusion of investigation.”
