NLC PROTEST : “Ensure Water – Tight Security Within Your Jurisdictions” — AIG Zone 2 Charge CP Lagos, Ogun States

Following on – going Strike and protest embarked by Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command, AIG Ari Mohammed Ali, has charged the Commissioners of Police in-charge of Lagos and Ogun States to ensure adequate and water-tight security within their jurisdictions .
AIG Ali gave the directive ahead of the planned strike/protest over the hardship following fuel subsidy removal.
While briefing the Commissioners, the Police Chief stated that it is within the constitutional right of the citizenry to embark on strike and to protest peacefully but any form of breakdown of law and order must not be tolerated from any group of persons or individuals while assuring law abiding citizens to go about their lawful businesses without any fear of molestation, intimidation and harassment.
The Crime fighting AIG Mohammed Ali , also warned criminal elements to relocate from Lagos and Ogun States as the long arm of the law will catch up with them as soon as possible if they failed to relocate.
