LAGOS TASKFORCE PRESENTS RELIEF PACKAGES TO FAMILIES OF FALLEN OFFICERS

The Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Adetayo Akerele, has extended financial relief packages to the families of two brave officers, ASP Aminu Akani and Inspector Saka Ganiyu, who lost their lives in the line of duty. This gesture reflects the agency’s unwavering support for the welfare of its personnel and their loved ones.
According to the Agency’s Director, Public Affairs, Mr. Gbadeyan Abdulraheem,”the Chairman, presented a sum of ₦500,000 each to the bereaved families during a solemn ceremony at the Agency Headquarters Bolade, Oshodi Lagos,office”.
Receiving the relief package on behalf of the late ASP Aminu Akani was his wife, Mrs. Modinot Aminu, and his son, Mr. Rasheed Aminu. Similarly, the family of late Inspector Saka Ganiyu was represented by his son, Abdulmalik Saka, and his guardian, Mrs. Kafilat Ajibola.
While addressing the families, the Chairman urged them to obtain the death certificates of their deceased loved ones to facilitate the processing of gratuities and other entitlements. He also encouraged them to live in harmony, uphold the cherished memories of the fallen officers, and honor their discipline and dedication.
It will be recalled that late last year, Inspector Saka Ganiyu died while in active service along Mile 2 Road at Ojo Barracks. His son, Mr Abdul Malik Saka amid tears cried that the death of his father had caused the family unspeakable pain.
CSP Adetayo Akerele emphasized the State Government commitment in line with THEMES PLUS Agenda to supporting the families of its personnel who paid the ultimate price in the service to the state government. He noted that the sacrifices of ASP Aminu Akani and Inspector Saka Ganiyu would never be forgotten, as their contributions remain an integral part of the agency’s history.
The Lagos State Taskforce remains steadfast in its mission to ensure safety and order across Lagos while recognizing the invaluable service of its officers and providing unwavering support to their families.
