Igbo Speaking community President General, Chief Sunday Udeh, Affirms Coronation Of Prosper Chukwuka As Eze Ndigbo FESTAC Town

Following ranging controversy surrounding the Ezeship of Chief Prosper Chukwuka, the President General of the Igbo Speaking community Association, Chief Sunday Udeh, has cleared the air and debunked unhealthy rumours over the FESTAC Town Ezeship.
In an exclusive interview with the News Planet International on April 22nd, 2024, the Igbo leader urged those he described as “unenlightened rumour mongers “, who he accused of spreading Falsehoods with the sole aim of causing confusion and disharmony amongst Ndigbo in Lagos state, to desist from such plots.
He however, Confirmed that High Chief Prosper Chukwuka, was actually installed as Eze Ndigbo in FESTAC on November 12th,2023, by the Igbo Speaking community Association.
He also lashed at critics who he said lacked knowledge and understanding of the Constitution and Operation of the Igbo Speaking community in Lagos, adding that his group in tandem with its constitutional provisions and powered by approval by the Corporate Affairs Commission,CAC,has the legitimate Power and authority to conduct Coronation Of Eze Ndigbos, as Diaspora leaders in Lagos, particularly within the confines and ambits of the Igbo Speaking community.
Further elaborating on Eze Prosper Chukwuka’s coronation, the President General,stated that Chief Prosper Chukwuka , actually presented himself for consideration as Eze and fulfilled the Association’s constitutional provisions, noting that the candidate went through needed procedures before he was confirmed as Eze Ndigbo in FESTAC Town.
He advised those Peddling Falsehoods Against his office, authority and the Igbo Speaking community , should desist in their own interest.
Some of the Association Chieftains that were present during the interview, commended Chief Udeh , for clearing the air and putting to rest the perceived controversy.
Speaking on the Symbolic importance of the organization, Chief Udeh said,” Igbo Speaking community Association,is known to be a Pathfinder,one of the foremost Igbo Organization, a child of circumstances during the hitherto ethnic misunderstanding between the Igbos and Yorubas, it was established as a stop gap for harmonious coexistence with the Yoruba Host and their leadership, as well as a channel to unify and educate Igbo descendants about the social – Cultural heritage of the Igbos”.
