It was a memorable and heart touching moment, when the Igbos in Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State,under Eze Udo, Eze Ndigbo in Amuwo Odofin LGA , Eze Ambassador Augustine Sunday Ojukwu,hosted and honored one of their own, Assistant Commissioner Of Police, ACP Chuks Eburuajah, the Area Commander, Area ‘E’ Police Command, FESTAC Lagos.
Indeed, it was an evening of Igbo solid amity,brotherhood,Togetherness and love, from the moment the Police Chief entered Eze Ojukwu’s palace ,located at Oteyi Garden Estate,Omonile, Abule Ado, venue of the reception.
The symbolic event which later turned into a double Award night, perfectly keyed to the popular maxims and song which has the lyrics: “Celebrate Me, Now When IAM Alive”.
The event started at about 6 pm , on Friday, November 22nd, 2024 , with the symbolic pouring of libations,presentation , breaking of traditional Igbo Kola nuts and prayers before the award proper.
Eze Ojukwu, opened the floodgates of praises of the noble achievements of ACP Chuks Eburuajah ,as encomium from other Igbo leaders and Yoruba leaders at the venue flowed like torrents.
The Eze noted that for some unforseen circumstances , ACP Eburuajah’s recognition and Award honor was earlier slated during the recently held Eze Ndigbo Amuwo Odofin Foundation event, where many Children of the less privileged members of the Society received scholarships.
Collaborating other speakers, the Chairman, Council Of Chiefs,Eze Udo Palace,Amuwo Odofin Palace, High Chief Onyemaechi IK, Ochiagha, who had earlier in his speech predicted imminent elevation of the Area Commander to a higher rank and position in the Police Force, hinted of another proposed higher honors planned by Ndigbo in Lagos state, aimed at further appreciating his contributions to safety and security in the area.
Appreciating the honor bestowed on him, the highly elated and obviously happy Senior Police Officer, thanked the Eze in Council and Ndigbo in Amuwo Odofin LGA ,for deeming it pertinent in recognizing and appreciating his contributions in lagos State , and pledged to do more.
Like the common saying that “Givers don’t lack”, ACP Eburuajah, also witnessed the presentation of International award and investiture of Eze Ojukwu and Kingmaker Ochiagha IK as “African Global Peace Ambassadors”.
