Eze Emmanuel Chukwuakalikamadu Of  Oriade LCDA, Enjoin Igbos, Yorubas ,To Unite For Peaceful Harmonious Co-existence,Greater Developmental Strides

On the heels of the forth coming Local Government Election in Lagos State, Eze Ndigbo in Oriade LCDA, Eze Udo, Eze  Chimereze,Emmanuel Chukwuakalikamadu, has sued for peace amongst all the ethnic Nationalities resident in Lagos state.

Eze Chukwuakalikamadu, who is known for his relentless efforts in championing peaceful and harmonious coexistence amongst all ethnic Nationalities in the Country, especially between Igbos and their Yoruba host in Lagos state, enjoined the two tribes to unite in other to foster greater developmental strides.

While speaking with News Planet International on the heels of his Forth coming first Ofala and Igbo Day festival celebration slated for November 16,2024 , tagged “Living Harmoniously With Our Host Community To Enhance  Economic Development And Growth “,Eze Chimereze stated that Oriade LCDA have witnessed peaceful co- existence between the Igbos and their kind Yoruba host since 2006 he came to the area.

He revealed that the political apparty hitherto been exhibited by the Igbo community had since ceased , as the Igbos through his silent campaign to encourage enfranchisement,are now effectively participating in political engagement and participation in the LCDA ,without rancour with the Yoruba host community.

Eze Ndigbo in Oriade LCDA praised the Yoruba residents in Oriade and Amuwo Odofin,for being wonderful, welcoming , accommodating host and worthy partners in progress, who he acknowledged have been co- existing Harmoniously With the Igbo residents, before and after the creation of Oriade LCDA.

Eze Udo who has been a foremost Igbo leader in Amuwo Odofin and Eze in Oriade LCDA, Counseled the Igbos to always accord the right for political leadership roles to the Yoruba host, not withstanding the Igbos population in the area and their enormous investments in lagos.

” Because our democracy is still in its infancy and not matured, it is expedient that we will avoid political friction between the Igbos and their Yoruba host, by allowing the Yorubas to be on the political leadership seat in Lagos state, considering that it is their land”, he opined.

This he added would avoid hitherto insinuations of rivalry, accusations of undermining the Yoruba host and fear of undue take over of juicy  political offices from the indigenous people.

Further more, Eze Chimereze proposed political partnership and proper engagement with the Yoruba host community, which he affirmed would engender peace in the environment,political harmony and progress, especially as Igbos are well known for their economic and infrastructural development.

On why he accepted Ezeship enthronement despite being a known devoted staunch Catholic Christian, Eze Chimereze noted that Ezeship Throne is a Clarion call from God, which does not in any way conflicts or contradict the tenet of Christianity, noting that Culture and Religion are ways of life. 

” My Ezeship will not affect my Christian life because God has used the Ezeship Throne to send me out as a missionary amongst other Ndieze, to exhibit a pious life, which can convert any Eze that is not living right before God.So, my Christian faith is still intact “, he affirmed. 

On his expectations during his first Ofala, Eze Chimereze while pouring libations invited all Igbo Leaders,Igbo residents in Lagos, the Yoruba host community, Oba’s, Baales, Hausa community, Chinese dance group to be part of the festival celebration as a mark of peace and prosperity of the Nation.

He said ” Igbos in Oriade LCDA should see me as their king, father and not as a factional Eze.I pray that God Almighty will grant me more wisdom to be king over such wonderful, intelligent Igbo people.we have plans to build a language school to teach our Igbo Children in Diaspora our language and culture . I pray that God will not allow evil to come our way but to bless my people with abundant wealth”.

Extending the invitation to his guests, he said ,”Obieze Ndigbo Council Of Chiefs and the entire Igbo Community in Oriade LCDA will showcase their rich cultural heritage while promoting unity in the state, hence all are invited “.

 According to the Chairman planning committee, Chief Chinedu Okafor,His  Highness, Eze Chukwuakalikamadu  Emmanuel will be co- hosting the special event with  Eze Chinedu  Modozie, who is Eze Ndigbo in Riverine,at the 

First  Bank Field Satellite Town Lagos,at  12 Noon Prompt.

Speaking further on the Joint Ofala, the Eze who has been on the throne for three years now, explained that the joint Ofala between him and Eze Riverine, is a sign of brotherhood, Togetherness and teaching of tolerance, “which also will educate other Ezes who are fighting for territory in another man’s land to embrace peace. Again the joint Ofala is aimed at achieving enduring peace between Igbos and their Yoruba host community in our areas”.
