Eze Chika Nwokedi Preaches Love, Peace,Changes Leadership Narrative, Plans Building Befitting Secretariat For Igbo Speaking Community Lagos

Igbo Leaders in Lagos State and Ndigbo in general ,have been enjoined to show love to their people and embrace peace.

This call many said,is a  signal that days of selfish and short sighted Igbo Leadership in Diaspora appears coming to expected end.

Indeed, many progressive Igbo groups have applauded the grandiose plans for development already put in motion by a young energetic Igbo leader , popularly known as Okpoko 1, Eze, Ambassador Dr. Chika Nwokedi, who has vowed to lead a new crusade for Igbo self development,independence and reliance of Igbo Groups.

Already, Eze Nwokedi, who is the Founder of “Igbo Buru Otu Association”, has proven his motives and capacity,with the purchase of over N40 million worth landed property, where their Secretariat, auditorium and Event Center is nearing completion at Estate Junction, Ijegun area of Lagos State.

Spurred by the success story of the Igbo Buru Otu Secretariat, Eze Nwokedi, has concluded plans to buy an expanse of land in a choice location for the building of a befitting Secretariat and Office complex for the Igbo Speaking Community Association in Lagos, where he plans to erect Council of Ndieze office, Event Center and reception auditorium for dignitaries including Senators and Governors .

Quoting the Holy Bible while preaching peace and love, the man aptly described by his admirers as “development minded Philanthropist”, with his Council has already earmarked a whooping sum of N1million for the renting of temporary Council of Ndieze Office in Lagos and the office furnishing is ongoing now.

Preaching brotherhood, Togetherness, Forgiveness and empathy earlier today in his love message to Ndigbo in lagos State, Eze Nwokedi, noted that Ndigbo needs love for each other,solid Amity to surmount the obstacles put out against them by Igbo haters and xenophobic elements in the Country .

Speaking further on Wednesday,August 21,2024, Okpoko 1, who introduced himself as Son of Late Eze A. O .U Alphonsus Nwokedi of Obodo Ukwu, warned Igbo leaders and Ezes, notwithstanding their groups and lening, to always avoid doing or exhibiting some tendencies that attracts mockery and disdain from their host ethnic group.

Clarifying his personality towards leadership, Okpoko 1, categorically dismissed insinuations by detractors that he is leadership and power hungry.

He  explained that he has always reckoned with his root in Obodo Ukwu in Imo state, where he was born into the blue, royal blood, hence does not necessarily need Diaspora Ezeship to be made  king.

He begged his Igbo audience , especially the wealthy class, to always help the needy and less privileged people in the Society,” knowing fully well that we will give account of our stewardship to God Almighty whenever death comes calling”, he advised .

Eze Nwokedi said the recent Newspaper publications war going on recently amongst Igbo Speaking Community members,in the social media, was regrettable and heart rendering to him, as a peace loving Person, adding that he was pushed to the wall before he fought back to put records straight. 

Asking where the Joy of some parochial and Selfish Igbo leaders are, he advised Igbo leaders to shun selfish motives and personal interest against larger  Igbo interest .

Worried about the errornous and bad image Igbos are drawing to Igbo integrity and cultural heritage, he queried why the Igbos will sojourn to lagos State, another people’s land and engage themselves in an unprofitable Ezeship Throne tussle or war ,to the anger of the Yoruba Host, who he said ,are grumbling on the proliferation of Diaspora Ndieze, which has exceeded the ratio of 160 Ezes to 60 Oba’s.

In his words: “Why are we betraying our brother , nobody that kills his brother can receive trophy.if you destroy your brothers integrity or sell him to outsiders, they will buy it but will cease to trust you”. 

According to him, if Igbo Speaking Community Association in Lagos state will embrace peace and come under one umbrella, One President General, One Council of Ndieze,he will never aspire to contest for leadership position in the  Council of Ndieze.

Reeling out some of his humanitarian efforts and gestures to the society , particularly Ndigbo in Lagos, he called on all to Fear God Almighty,be his brothers and Sisters keepers in love and to remember tomorrow , which he said is pregnant.
