DCP Abba Kyari Still In Detention Despite Federal High Court Bail

The former Inspector General Response Team, IRT Boss, Deputy Commissioner of Police,DCP Abba Kyari , is said to have remained in detention, despite court ruling granting him bail.
It was learnt that a Federal High Court 9 sitting in Abuja had granted Abba Kyari bail few days ago.
Media sources reported that Justice Omotosho of Federal High Court 9 had granted him bail in view of the fact that Kyari and his Co- accused Persons did not escape when Kuje Prison was attacked last year July 5th, 2022, despite that about 90 percent of the inmates escaped.
The Judge was said to have maintained that the singular act shows that , Abba Kyari is ready to face any allegations against him and is not a flight-risk suspect.
Kyari and some of his team members are facing charges by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency,NDLEA, bordering on drug trafficking
Meanwhile, the case at the Federal high Court 10 led by Justice Emeka Nwite is still ongoing as the court is yet to grant him bail.
