ATTEMPTED SUICIDE : Police Rescues Unidentified Lady From Jumping Into Lagos Lagoon

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command who were on routine patrol around the 3rd Mainland Bridge, thursday afternoon prevented a lady from committing suicide
The yet to be identified young girl was said to have attempted jumping into the lagoon outward Iyana Oworo end of the bridge when the officers restrained her.
On her reason for trying to kill herself, The lady stated thus : “I was beaten at home, that is why I ran away to commit suicide”.
It was gathered that the police officers’ attention were drawn to the lady by a dispatch rider who had suspected her motive, leading operatives of the Rapid Response Squad ,RRS racing to the scene and restrained her from jumping into the lagoon.
As at the time of filing this report , the rescued lady was said to have been taken to Iyana Oworo Police Division, where efforts are in progress to contact her family members.
