APGA Bounces Back To Life,As Stakeholders Strategizes Plans To Dominate Lagos State Politics Come 2027.Watch Video Below

The All Progressive Grand Alliance Party,APGA, that had hitherto held sway in the South – East and other parts of the Country, has rejuvenated its political strengths and relevance in Lagos State Politics again.

The party yesterday, August 17,2024, under the protem headship of a notable APGA diehard, Hon.Mazi Michael Okereke and many respectable Stakeholders, Strategized on how to revive and make the Party More relevant in the political structure in lagos State, by winning and Dominating the highly active Lagos political environment in future elections .

The well attended Stakeholders strategic conference , tagged “Chatting The Way Forward For APGA Lagos State”, was held at Cynarisso Hotel, 15/17 Karaa Street, Off Osolo Way, Ajao Estate, International Airport Road,Lagos.

Some of the distinguished members at the Stakeholders meeting were: Mazi Michael Okereke; Chief Raf Nwoye; Eng. Lazy Elekwa; Mr. Ajayi Kola; Comrade Barth Echefu , Eastern Union Coordinator, Lagos Branch; Comrade Any Iam Okigwe Chioma, Mobilization Lagos Branch;Mr .Onuora Emmanuel; Chief Matthew Ulko ; Mrs. Nwosu Victoria Ifeyinwa ; Mr. Obiomah Ogbonnayah ; Mr. Evan Odikwa, Nkiru Unegbu; Azeez Rangbade; Mr. Bright Okereke; Delphine Essie; Shola Omoyele, Edom Emmanuel ifeanyi, Mariam Adedamola Oyewole and many others.

In their individual contributions during the meeting, all prominent Stakeholders that spoke, agreed on the need to spread APGA’s tentacles through out the nook and Cranny of Lagos State 

Addressing the crowd, Mazi Okereke extolled the virtues of the current APGA National Leadership led by Chief Edozie Njoku and his National Working Committee.

Hon. Okereke, who recalled with nostalgia the great fortunes of APGA in lagos State,before the crisis, where he noted that elections were won on the party’s name without candidates to fill the positions, enjoined members to work assiduously to reenact and surpass such feats.

He appealed to all members in various different camps,to set aside their differences and work for the success of the party in lagos State.

WELCOME ADDRESS BY HON. MAZI MICHAEL OKEREKE

1. Ladies and gentlemen, today is indeed a new dawn in the life of our great party APGA in Lagos and i am using this opportunity to Formally welcome all members of this great party, and express my gratitude to you all for leaving other important commitments to  attend this meeting even at short notice. 

2. I sincerely Thank God for granting Chief Edozie Njoku and members of the National Working Committee the grace to go through the storms to roundly and conclusively win the ultimate victory for the recovery of the spirit and soul of our beloved APGA from those who hijacked it several years ago. 

 I deeply Commend Chief Edozie Njoku, especially for his sacrifices, selflessness, and resilience in leading the  struggle from the front as a true general. 

3. As we all are aware, i stand here to reassure you that we are witnessing a new dawn in the life of our great party. I wish to state that it is the directive of the National Chairman Chief Edozie Njoku that all chapters of APGA nationwide should welcome with open arms all former, present, and new members of the Party irrespective of whatever previous factions they may have belonged to in the past, in the spirit of unity and reconciliation in the overall interest of our great Party. 

4. It is in this spirit that I have convened this meeting. 

5. I must clarify that this meeting is not convened to clamor for party offices. It is within the exclusive power of the NWC under the leadership of Chief Edozie Njoku as National Chairman to appoint acting officers in Lagos State.

 However, all of us here are enjoined to set aside all differences and come together, demonstrate our love for APGA, work for its success and uplift the new spirit of unity in APGA. We are further enjoyed to make personal sacrifices to mobilize more old and new members across Lagos State, to build a more formidable APGA than what it was in the past. 

6. There must be a clear departure from the past when the Lagos State APGA did not show much weight in terms of electoral victories in the state as viable and promising as Lagos State with its robust population. 

7. It is not enough to clamor for State Party office. We must be willing to work the work and show what we can do for the party if given the opportunity to serve. 

8. This maiden meeting is a clarion call to Lagos APGA family to put all hands on deck to grow the party. It is further a call to assure all of us that a new APGA with a refreshing national leadership under Chief Edozie, as National Chairman has berthed a new vision for APGA in Lagos State and in Nigeria in general.

    9. Let us resolve that by our next meeting we should be in a position to decide on a date to invite our national leaders at Abuja to Lagos State to showcase and prove that we are prepared to make a huge difference in the fortunes of APGA in Lagos State 

    10.Finally dear members of our great party we must know that nothing is impossible to those that believe. If we truly believe that we can build a strong, vibrant and resilient party then now is the time to do so. May God in HIS infinite love and mercy grant us the strength that we all deserve. APGA …….be your brothers and sisters keeper!!!!.
