CRAN Pay Last Respect To Late Xavier Ndanyongmong, Crime Editor of Daily Independent Newspapers
Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN), will on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, hold a memorial service for Mr. Xavier Ndanyongmong, Crime Editor of Daily Independent Newspapers. Until his death at the early hours of Friday, June 19, 2020, Ndanyongmong, who was popularly called Xavier by his colleagues, was an active member of the association.
The deceased, who was in his 50s, died at Government Health Facility in Ogun State, where he was admitted after he was rushed to the hospital at the early hours of Friday.
Since his death was announced, journalists on the Crime beat, his immediate constituency, have been mourning as Ndanyongmong was beloved by all.
In his last moments, CRAN members ably led by the President, Mr. Odita Sunday, did their best in terms of prayers, financial and moral support to ensure that he recovered. Regrettably, death had its way.
In a statement by the leadership of CRAN, there will be a service of songs in his honour on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 beginning at 5pm , while burial arrangements would subsequently be announced by his family.
